WordSong offer a small trophy and prize of £25 to the winner of a special WordSong Recital Class at participating BIFF festivals to be included within their Junior Section for ages 13-18. Requirements as follows:
- Entrants should perform a themed programme from memory of between 10 – 12 minutes.
- It must include a spoken introduction, two Classical English language Art Songs* and one piece of poetry or prose.
- Adjudication will be based on the whole spoken and sung content and overall presentation.
- * NB: Do not include: Operatic or Oratorio arias, Musical Theatre, Film Scores, Rock, Pop and Jazz.https://www.federationoffestivals.org.uk/
